TRADING

Energy trading involves products like crude oil, natural gas, and wind power. Since these commodities often fluctuate abruptly, they can be attractive to several actors and specially oil producers.

Blueshield was involved in the setup and execution of large oil and gas trading contracts with Zhen Hua oil, Vitol, Trafigura, Sahara, Oryx… and other Asian traders…

Blueshield management can generate international trades and origination, we can operate on major indices from our offices providing risk management and market making services on crude and distillate products to oil producers and consumers.

LNG

Blueshield have access to advanced infrastructure for transporting hydrocarbons across land through interests in several gas pipelines in Europe and Asias. This enables us to efficiently to help deliver gas and oil from fields to storage centers and major consumer hubs.

LNG requires a specific supply chain that includes regasification terminals, as the liquefied gas must be converted back into its gaseous state before it is injected into distribution networks. Whether through access to regasification capacity, we can conduct our activities at several sites in Asia including Hong Kong) for delivery of LNG (spot or long term contracts).

E&P UPSTREAM, E&P M&A

Blueshield had helped to organize and arrange, negotiation, acquisition and PSC signing for E&P oil field in Iraq, Myanmar, Algeria, Libya and Africa for different customers located in Asia, Chinese SOE’s, Korean Chaebols and Asian private companies.

The Asian companies are winning bids to explore Iraqi and north African oil and gas fields, upgrade or operate existing large oil and gas field operated by NOC. Asian companies are amongst the only foreign players to win bids in these countries, taking licenses covering several oil and gas fields with the help of Blueshield for some biding companies (Zhen Hua Oil, private Chinese companies…). Iraq is OPEC's second-largest oil producer behind Saudi Arabia.

These last years, these licenses are aimed at ramping up output for Iraqi domestic use, with these companies pre-qualifying, including Chinese, Arab and Iraqi groups.

Lately for some years, Iraq and north Africa NOC wanted this licensing round to increase output of natural gas and crude oil, being used to fire power plants that rely on imported gas.

Lately, among specific awards, China's CNOOC won a bid to develop for oil exploration Iraq's Block 7. China's Geo-Jade won a bid to develop Iraq's Jabal Sanam field for oil exploration in Basra province.

Our partner Zhen-Hua Oil, Anton Oilfield Services and Sinopec won bids to develop the Abu Khaymah oilfield in Muthanna, the Dhufriya field in Wasit and the Sumer field in Muthanna.

In Libya we are working with Clients to secure some handover of existing large oil and gas field to selected partners from NOC associated to favorable PSC for our clients.

We are also exploring other oil and gas assets in Africa through acquisition and enhancement.

DOWNSTREAM

we had helped to organize and arrange equity financing for “grass root” refinery construction in Iraq between Chinese SOE’s, Korean Chaebols and project owner MIRC (Maisan International Refinery Co).

we have a long expertise and detailed understanding of the techniques employed for financing downstream oil & gas projects. We master the importance of understanding the complexity of a crude oil refinery and of measuring the relative cost competitiveness of a petrochemical plant.

We generally start with an overview of the oil & gas industry, an introduction to refinery configuration, calculating refining margins and the role of the Nelson Complexity Index in providing a relative measurement of construction costs based on a refinery’s crude and upgrading capacity.

We are familiar with petrochemical processing techniques and the financing structures which have been developed to cope with an industry for which input and output prices are rarely aligned.

A qualitative and quantitative risk analysis framework is used by Blueshield to illustrate the contractual structures which have been developed to support the financing of downstream projects and will culminate in participants building their own downstream project finance structure.

IT & TELECOM

IT PROJECTS DEVELOPMENT, WIRELESS AND IP TELECOM

Blueshield provides Turnkey Carrier Class Level 1 Network Solutions. Whether placing aerial telecommunications support structure including poles, anchoring systems and grounding, or placing underground installations of sub duct with fibre-optic cables in existing support structure, we deliver the same high level of attention to detail.
